Hi, Getting Passport for minors become very complicated in India. Today we have to pay the money online also. Most of the websites providing complicated information. Here there is a good solution for it. The minor category is classified into two.

• Minors between age 15 & 18

• Minors age less than 15

 Minors between age 15 & 18 can apply for full validity Passport (10 years) and Passport for 3 to 1 years. In the case of minors less than 15 years old can apply for passport for 5 years. The fee is 1500 INR for 10 year passport and 1000 INR for 5 year or less Passports (Fees for Normal applications) . The documents are the main problem facing by the applicants in the time of submission. I will tell you about the documents in usual cases.
Case 1

If the applicant is aged between 15 and 18 and wish to obtain full validity passport and his/her parents carrying a valid passport (Spouse name endorsed)  . The documents are -

• Proof Of Present Address. 

• Proof Of Date Of Birth.

• Attested photocopy of Passport of both or either parent (carry the original passport in the time of verification). 

 Note - If parents do not parents carrying a valid passport. Please ignore the                   third document. 

Case 2


In all other cases for minors and his/her parents carrying a valid passport (Spouse name endorsed)  . The documents are -

• Proof Of Present Address. 
  

• Proof Of Date Of Birth.

• Attested photocopy of Passport of both or either parent (carry the original passport in the time of verification).  

• A Declaration affirming the particulars furnished in the application about the minor as per: Annexure 'H'

 Note - If parents do not parents carrying a valid passport. Please ignore the                  fourth document.

Now I will tell you the steps for submission



Go to www.passportindia.gov.in

Sign up for a new account  (Including Email verification).

Click the link 'Apply for fresh passport' in the Applicants home.

Select your mode of submission. I suggest Online submission

Select your scheme tatkal/normal

Fill the details ( Note - Type your neighbour's Name and address in Reference column).

Fill the details carefully.

Submit your application and select the time and date to visit your nearest passport office.

Pay the required money online. Online Payment has been made mandatory Today to increase speed of the procedures.

You can pay by 

• Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard & Visa)

• Internet Banking 

• SBI Bank Challan

Then follow the procedures suggested by them.

 After there will be a police verification. Then you will get the Passport . . . . .
